Description
Three O’Clock High was a classic 80’s film, dark and youth focused. Executive Produced by Steven Spielberg, it failed at the box office but became a hit on home video and remains a favourite among Gen X. The soundtrack has been out of print since 1987. The soundtrack is mostly scored by Tangerine Dream, very much in their mid-80’s heyday, with an assist by Sylvester Levay on a handful of tracks. The album cover is an original poster drawn by the legendary Drew Struzan, (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Blade Runner).
Tangerine Dream are a pioneering act in the world of electronic music. Formed in Germany in 1967, they released a series of ground-breaking instrumental albums in the 1970’s before going on to even larger success creating score soundtracks for film. The group, led by Edgar Froese, scored over 60 different films, among which some of the most iconic are Risky Business, Firestarter, Thief and Legend.
This 35th anniversary re-issue includes an insert of the original film poster drawn by the legendary Drew Struzan, (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Blade Runner). Executive Produced by Steven Spielberg, Three O’Clock High remains a favourite among Gen X, while the soundtrack from score legends, Tangerine Dream, (Risky Business, Firestarter), is as strong as anything they created in their 1980’s heyday. Also includes new liner notes and a printed inner sleeve.
